Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center

Our Lower School students trekked to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum at Dulles for an exceptional guided tour through the history of flight and air travel. We had the distinguished honor of being led on our tour by former Marine Pilot and Colonel Scott Leitch, as he wowed students with tales of bravery and wonder as well as showing us the plane he flew, the EA6 Prowler. In addition to our earthbound vehicles and exploration, we marveled at the cosmic shuttles and spacecraft, inspired by the frontiersmen and women of our revolutionary space program. This was such a collection of fascinating history and ingenious engineering - just a short drive from our school! Many thanks to our amazing tour guide, and all the great curators and staff at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center!
