Internet Safety Presentation
The Newton School students in grades 5-8 had the pleasure of hosting Deputy John Miller of the Crime Prevention Unit from the Loudoun County Sheriff Department for a very important presentation on Responsible Use of the Internet. He covered topics such as Oversharing, Talking to people you don't know, Unverified information, What not to post, Threats, Cyberbullying, Online scams and Phishing. It would have been helpful for adults too! Our students were very engaged, asked a lot of questions and seemed to relate to the messages. Many thanks to Deputy Miller and to the Sheriff Department for supporting our student's learning on this important topic.
