Apple Picking Field Trip

As crisp fall weather flows in, our middle schoolers had the opportunity to enjoy a day of apple picking at Great Country Farms in Bluemont, VA. Students enjoyed finding the ripest gala apples and eating some of the absolute freshest fruit Loudoun County has to offer! In addition to our produce selections, students enjoyed the many activities Great Country has to offer, including a ninja warrior course, a mind blowing bamboo maze, and the ever popular jumping pillows! A fantastic time was had by all and our students were sad to head home. Before we returned to school, we had to complete our first field trip by trying the delectable apple cider donuts, baked fresh daily at Great Country Farms! A great start to a year of exciting Newton School field trips!
