Balls Bluff Battlefield

Students in 5th and 6th grade had the privilege of a very special tour through Ball’s Bluff Battlefield Regional Park in Leesburg, VA. Our students simulated the moves Union and Confederate soldiers took through the damp, tree covered landscape, as they did their best charge and “Rebel yell” impressions. Students paid tribute to fallen soldiers just before Veteran’s day at the ceremonial burial grounds. What a wonderful day spent learning about the historical significance of our very own backyard.
