The Newton School had the honor of hosting a variety of special aquatic guests this week for our “stay-at-school” field trip! Mr. Andrew WIlson came from the Glen Echo Aquarium in Maryland and included a horseshoe crab, a variety of beach dwelling shellfish, and an adorable shark! Students of all grades had an awesome hands-on experience as they were able to touch certain animals as they learned about the water creatures’ biological skills and traits. In addition to learning about the vast variety of aquatic life, students were also given important strategies for being responsible beach visitors! Overall it was a fantastic visit and we would like to thank the awesome Mr. Wilson and aquatic critters for such a fun learning experience!
