The Newton School hopped over to Claude Moore Park to learn about how Revolutionary soldiers and civilians lived during colonial times. The students had the opportunity to learn a blacksmith’s craft, discover how to card wool, grind up coffee beans, and see what types of clothing and household items were used during this time period. Students rotated through different outdoor stations located around the park. There was even a musket demonstration!
Check out pictures of the students engaged in all these learning activities on our Facebook page.
