Time for some teamwork! The Newton School students in grades 5-8 took their problem solving skills to the Adventure Links 425-acre outdoor classroom in Clifton, VA for a full day of collaboration and learning. Adventure Links is an experiential education organization, located in the Hemlock Overlook Regional Park, designed to encourage learning in a group setting. The students were tasked to having 8 students standing on 3 small tree stumps simultaneously, leading blinded pairs through an obstacle forest, and slipping through the “human spider web” as a team. They also got an opportunity to fly through the forest on a zip line! The group was able to conquer many challenges together – which was great to see! Many thanks to Adventure Links for hosting such a wonderful day!
