Our 7th and 8th graders had the awesome and rare opportunity to tour the White House this week! After passing through the many security check points, our students began their tour in the East Wing’s gorgeous ceremonial halls and rooms. We marveled at the many historical photographs of the United State’s Chief Diplomat creating policy for the last few hundred years and appreciated the many priceless portraits and paintings adorning the walls. Following our tour of the House, we went to the White House Visitor Center to watch a documentary on the History of the many first families, and followed up by checking out the many exhibits! Our students valued the trip and made many connections to their History and Civics classes along the way!
