Multicultural Day!

Many thanks to all our parents for attending our holiday Multicultural Day Event! The students worked hard to learn about the 13 countries represented – from Australia to Finland to South Korea to the Bahamas. Our students in grades K-4 performed first including a drum performance, an umbrella dance, a rhythm stick medley and an amazing finale of the Finnish Polka by some of our 4th graders. We then all shared wonderful foods from our countries! Some highlights include Pad Thai, Persian Kabobs & Rice, Ethiopian Samosas, Australian Fairy Bread and Bahamian Coconut Bread – and some yummy Vegemite from Australia…. There was an amazing variety of items and many thanks to our families for such creativity! Finally after viewing our country presentation boards and stunning artwork, our students in grades 5-8 performed for our more then 250 guests, ending with a beautiful “We are the World” song for a holiday send off. Enjoy the Winter Break and Happy Holidays to all!
