Our students continued learning about Growth Mindset in Social class over the last few weeks by building Peep Towers! Students worked in small groups to build the tallest tower to support one Peep. Each group was given twenty 3 x 5 cards and tape. They could only use the tape to tape a card to itself. Cards could not be taped to each other, the floor, or any other object. The tallest tower was 21 1/2 inches tall! Through this activity, students worked on skills pertaining to growth mindset such as collaboration and dealing with failure by changing strategy rather than by giving up. Students used a variety of strategies to build their towers.
